Brock Lesnar came back to WWE at Saturday's home show at The Discussion in Los Angeles, California. Joined by Paul Heyman, he was confronting Alberto Del Rio for the US Title.
The match began with The Mammoth hitting three german suplexes, just for Del Rio to recoup and achieve some control after Lesnar hit the ring post. It went for a couple of more minutes after that, before Rusev hit the ring to compel an exclusion. That was dependably the normal result, a snappy match in which Lesnar could do his thing, with a DQ that permitted Del Rio to hold.
Lesnar then got stuck into Rusev, astonishingly hitting him with a suplex and F5. He then had the same treatment for Del Rio, before leaving the scene. Heyman didn't cut a promo.
What was fascinating about this match, is that it was two previous MMA warriors grinding away in a WWE ring. Yet, the story never truly got going and the match was too short to be in any way considered anything of authentic worth.
